How to Escape the Room: 7 Tips for a Successful Mission
We give you useful tips for your escape game in Vienna with children and teenagers
Not sure if you’re ready for your first Escape Room adventure with the Time-Busters? With these seven tips for escape beginners, nothing can go wrong!
1. Choose a balanced team
When choosing your team, make sure you have a balanced composition of your teammates. Escape Rooms are multi-person entertainment formats, so you will also be most successful when you form a symbiosis as a team. The communication has to be right and the tasks have to be well distributed.
You will make the fastest progress if you combine the following skills in your team: One person keeps the overview, another person analyzes the puzzles and does not shy away from numbers, one person always has creative solutions ready and finally, you also need a person who takes action, motivates the team and does the nails with brains. Once you have all these people aboard your mission, nothing can go wrong!
2. Listen to the instructions carefully
Each mission starts with a briefing from the game management. So be careful when your team is briefed on the mission. Often important information is hidden in the game instructions or intro video, which later turns out to be the missing piece of your puzzle. So listen up and start your escape game in Vienna!
3. Scan the room when you enter it
Be careful when entering your escape room for the first time. Look around and scan the room. Do objects particularly strike your eye? Do some furnishings look unnatural in the room? Take a closer look at them and figure out which items are part of your mission and which might just be a distraction!
4. Every discovery is important
The devil is in the detail! Even if you’re not sure if you’ve made an important discovery, let your team know about your observation and use the group’s swarm intelligence! Often you need a lot of inconspicuous details to solve the riddles in the end.
5. Work as a team
Our Crime Games are designed to be solved as a team. You will not be able to solve the riddles with physical strength or violence, but only with good cooperation, communication and grips. It’s not the power of the stronger, it’s the power of the team!
6. Do not rush
In our Escape Rooms you will have to crack some locks. The codes are hidden all over the room and often not easy to find. If you can’t open a lock with your code combination, you probably haven’t found the right code yet. Stop before you enter the combination incorrectly a third time and the safe automatically locks. Take a look around again, you are probably missing an important clue.
7. Ask us for help
